12+ months before wedding

• Gather your ideas and create a collection of Inspiring images, ready to share with us.

• Pinterest is a great tool. Feel free to follow us on Pinterest for some inspiration too.

• Once you have a clear idea of what you want, contact us to book a consultation.

Consultation

6-12 months before wedding

• We want to meet you and hear all about your vision. Bring your photos and links to your Pinterest board so we can get a clear idea of what inspires you.

• Your consultation will be with one of our seamstresses in our private Bridal room. You’re welcome to bring a friend or your mum, but we suggest coming on your own so we can clearly understand you and what you’re dreaming of without anyone else’s opinions.

• Consultations last about 30 - 60 minutes, so don’t schedule anything too soon after so we can have your full attention.

• The consultation fee is $100

Quotation

One week after consultation, 6-12 months before wedding

• We’ll create a sketch and quote based on what designs and fabrics were discussed during your consultation.

• PLEASE NOTE: Your quote is not a firm price and can change based on how much work is required, but we will do everything we can to stick to the price you are quoted.

• Once a 20% deposit is paid, your job is secured and the timeline begins.

Measurements & Toile Fit

At least 3 months before wedding

• To begin, we’ll create a mock-up of your dress in a ‘calico’ fabric, called a toile.

• We’ll then ask you to come in to try on the toile, so to make sure we’ve got the fit right.

• At your toile fit session, be sure to bring the underwear / bra you plan to wear with your dress.

Construction Begins

At least 3 months before wedding (but can vary)

• By now we will have established and received your final fabrics.

• We’ll begin to fully construct your dress’ base layer and outer details.

First Fitting

Generally a few weeks after Toile Fit

• From our toile fitting, we have been able to construct the foundation of your dress accordingly.
• This first fitting checks fundamental fit and establishes design details.

Construction Continues

Ongoing and based on your circumstances

• We will continue to expertly craft your bespoke dress.

• Here is a great time to check out our hire collection for veils, furs & other accessories.

Second Fitting

Ongoing and based on your circumstances

• We’ll call you to book your fitting time.

• Make sure you bring your shoes to we can measure the correct length.

• FYI- Depending on the design details, layers & fabrics, this may not be your last fitting!

Final Touches

2 weeks prior to wedding

• Final touches like embellishments, hemming and final details are carefully completed.

• We’ll steam press our dress so it’s looking perfect and ready to wear!

Collect

One week prior to wedding, at the latest

• This is the moment you’ve been waiting for!

• We’ll pack your dress in a garment bag, plus give you some handy tips on how to keep it looking its best.

• After your wedding, be sure to send us photos and videos in your dress, so we can see how it looked in all of it’s glory and share it with all of our followers!
